Method

Roasted Chickpeas Preparation
1. Draining and Drying: Start by draining the brine from a can of chickpeas. The video notes that the brine (aquafaba) can be saved to make vegan meringues. Ensure the chickpeas are patted dry before proceeding.
2. Seasoning: Transfer the dry chickpeas to a container and add salt, pepper, and the key ingredient—smoked paprika.
3. Coating: Add a small amount of extra virgin olive oil and shake the container well to ensure the chickpeas are evenly coated with the spices and oil.
4. Roasting: Place the chickpeas in the oven at approximately 200°C to 205°C. Roast them until they are crispy and fragrant, similar to the smell of popcorn.
