This family business with lots of attitute and charm recenty received a makeover by the famed IN DIE SOP TV show. Chef Anneline is always busy in the kitchen baking delicious melktert or cooking a batch of jam. Their signature dish is roosterkoek with various fillings or the famous moerse pie. And if you venture through the back door, you will find a hidden gem, in husband Ettienne’s colourful nursery.
Napier Farm Stall
Napier Farm Stall has set the standard for top-quality ‘plaaskombuis’, also called a wholesome country meal. Created by Ilze Vos in 1999, this farm stall has become an Overberg landmark. Pascal’s of Napier, in the heart of the beautiful village of Napier, is renowned in the Overberg . Pascal’s of Napier offers Al Fresco seating in summer and fireside in winter. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious choices which include legendary Greek style lamb shanks, Melenzane Parmegiano and awesome gourmet burgers. Or choose from a variety of home-made pastas, seafood, and other meats. They also have choices for vegetarians, vegans and those who want something a little less substantial.
Suntouched Inn
Suntouched Inn is Napier’s Local-is-Lekker restaurant, where you are bound to run into a few locals. A wide selection of delicious pizzas are on offer, as well as their famous succulent ribs. When there is a game on, Suntouched is normally the hype of activity, with a fully licenced bar providing sustenace for the cheering crowd.
The Fox Pub and Restaurant
The Fox (as it is fondly referred to by the locals) is a homely restaurant with bar, overlooking the colourful main road of this historical village. Patrons are seated either in a laid-back restaurant with an indoor fireplace, an old English-style pub or a petit outdoor beer garden where you can dine al fresco or quite simply watch the world go by. Although The Fox specializes in seafood, the small but substantial menu also includes succulent steaks, delicious beef burgers and healthy salads to eat in or to take-away. There are two televisions so that you can watch your favourite sporting teams in action and there is live music in-season (or whenever the mood calls for it).
